The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are again set to visit Dunoon & Cowal on 26th November
to present the prestigious St. Andrews Day Tourism Awards. These awards are
given to businesses and individuals in the Cowal area. Visitors and locals
alike can vote for their favourite business in five categories during the year
and the best in each category receives an award recognising their excellence.
The Chilli Pipers recently appeared at the Cowal Games and were given a rapturous
welcome in the Ceilidh Tent, where several thousand visitors watched and applauded
the performance, and they are world renowned with recent gigs in Thailand,
France and the USA.
Commenting on the announcement Tony Miles, Chair of the Dunoon and Cowal Marketing Group said "We are delighted to be able to welcome back the Chilli Pipers. They are very popular here in Dunoon and Cowal and we look forward to seeing them perform after they have presented the awards, and we are sure that their presence will help to put Cowal's businesses and tourism success on the map."
The St. Andrews Day Awards will be held on 26th November, 2008 in
the Hunters Quay Holiday Village, in Dunoon, and tickets will be on sale at
a special price of £12.50. Tickets are available from Dunoon and Cowal
