Ardkinglas Woodland Garden Ardkinglas Woodland Garden

Open all year round, Ardkinglas Woodland Garden provides a unique growing environment where location, climate and soil combine to create optimal conditions.

It holds one of the finest collections of rhododendrons and conifers within the British Isles. It boasts many Champion Trees (the tallest or broadest of their species within the British Isles).

 
Benmore Botanic Gardens Benmore Botanic Gardens

A satellite of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, Benmore Botanic Gardens boast a world-famous collection of magnificent conifers, rhododendrons and exotic shrubs and trees. Its 150 acres include the spectacular Avenue of Giant Redwoods.

 
Castle House Museum Castle House Museum

The Castle House Museum, which is the most visited indoor attraction in Cowal, details the history of the area from ancient times to the present day. It documents the history of the Clyde pleasure steamers, the Clyde during wartime, and the American Naval base at the Holy Loch.

Morag's Fairy Glen Morag's Fairy Glen

A recent count listed 1,641 trees in Morag's Fairy Glen, and there are some fine examples of beech, birch, oak and ash. The Berry Burn flows through the mile-and-a-half long Glen descending its length in waterfalls and eddying pools.
